An adventure-filled trip to Switzerland wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Jungfrau region.
Home to a series of imposing monoliths – the Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau – as well as the charming towns of Wengen, Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, Mürren and Meiringen, the Jungfrau region is perfect for all things outdoors and active.
One experience not to be missed is the Jungfraujoch – the Top of Europe. Sitting at 3,454 metres above sea level, this is Europe’s highest mountain railway station. Getting there involves a journey on the Jungfrau Railway’s cogwheel train from Kleine Scheidegg.
Nearby, in Grindelwald, the zip-line First Flyer and First Cliff walk will get the adrenaline pumping, while a trotti bike ride down through the lush meadows will relax the mind.
And finally, Bond lovers should make sure to visit the highly engaging and interactive Bond World 007 and the 007 Walk of Fame on the summit of the Schilthorn, before dining at the Piz Gloria.
