The Seven Peaks Walk is a stunning new walking experience based at Pinetrees Lodge on Lord Howe Island. The 5 day guided walk covers around 45km of moderate to hard terrain (the exact distance is dependent on weather) and is a truly remarkable way to discover this World Heritage listed island, just a short two hour flight from Sydney or Brisbane.
The walk is for experienced hikers who enjoy challenging days and comfortable evenings, with a touch of luxury. Over five days, guests will climb to peaks and lookouts to earn some of the best views in the world. A few of the sections of the walk are off-track and require a steady head for heights, however alternate walks can be offered for those who prefer less exposed routes. Seven Peaks walkers will explore pristine beaches with exposed coral platforms, subtropical palm forests with freshwater creeks, rugged sea cliffs and dramatic volcanic mountains, including Mt Gower, one of Australia’s most challenging climbs.
At the end of each walking day, guests return to elegant accommodation, hot showers, waterfront sunsets with cold beers and a four course dinner with excellent Australian and New Zealand wines. Pinetrees Lodge hosts up to 75 guests (the total number of guests on the island is limited to 400 at any time), and was ranked TripAdvisor’s No.1 Hotel in Australia for 2017.
